About the Owner
Josh Belisle studied economics and business at Trinity College and is a self-proclaimed nature lover. He started building in 1998 with forested logs he harvested in the northern woods of Maine. His craftsmanship shows in everything from rustic mountain cabins to traditional New England homes. His work can be found from northern Maine to the New Hampshire Lakes region, and down near Boston Massachusetts.
On a personal note, he enjoys long snowshoe trips to search for resources — admitting the hunt for the perfect materials is half the fun! An avid outdoors man, Josh enjoys land and sea, and is a boat captain licensed as a 100 ton masters. He is often found fishing and lobstering with his family on the wooden boat he rebuilt. He also charters tuna excursions out of Seabrook Harbor.

Specialty Scribing and Handcrafted Details
Renewable resources are used for living spaces using local raw materials from New Hampshire and Maine. We bring the outdoors inside to create a sustainable living environment. Columns scribed to stone bases are designed to last a lifetime. Scribe work gives an organic look to interior space and is detailed around fireplaces, stairs and stone walls.
Finish work such as counter tops, stair wells, and decks are incorporated naturally into the log home with materials left-over from the mill. Sustainability means making use of all available material — nothing is wasted.
Interior details — picture frames, mirrors and supports — add interest to the log home. Solid white cedar tables and stools are built for functional long use and endurance.

Restoring cedar log homes is specialized work. It takes know-how to custom fit to unique requirements of each individual timber frame and Adirondack log home. Because we forest our own cedar wood and log supply we obtain many hard to find whole cedar log for replacing wide cedar planks and restoring logs homes. We cut and mill lumber to your specification.
